Creating an account and signing in
Last updated 11 days ago
You need an account to use Peptimes. Sign up with your email and a password, or with Apple or Google. Returning users tap "Sign In" on the first screen.
Create an account
- Open Peptimes and tap "Get Started →".
- Go through setup until you reach "Create your account".
- Choose one of these:
- Email: enter your first and last name, your email and a password (see "Forgot or change your password" for the rules). Check "I agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Medical Disclaimer", then tap "Create Account →".
- "Sign in with Apple" or "Sign in with Google." Afterwards, you'll be asked once to agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer ("Before you continue").
There's no confirmation email to wait for. Once you tap "Create Account →", your account is ready and setup carries on.
Sign in to an existing account
- On the first screen, tap "Sign In" (not "Get Started →").
- Use the same method you signed up with: "Sign in with Apple", "Sign in with Google", or your email and password.
- If you're using email, tap "Sign In →".
Common questions
Which should I choose: email, Apple or Google?
Any of them works. Use whichever you'll remember. To come back to the same account, sign in the same way each time.
I used Apple's "Hide My Email". What's my account email?
Apple created a private relay address that forwards to your real email. See Apple's guide: https://support.apple.com/102571
I signed in and my data isn't there.
- Check that you signed in the same way as before (the same email, or the same Apple or Google account).
- Peptimes stores your data on the iPhone where you logged it. A new iPhone, or a reinstalled app, starts empty. See "New phone, reinstalling, or starting over".
Can I switch from Apple or Google sign-in to email, or the other way around?
Not in the app. Contact us if you need help.
Why did I have to agree to the terms again?
When you sign up with Apple or Google, Peptimes asks you to agree once, on the "Before you continue" screen, because there's no checkbox in that sign-in.
