How reminders work
Last updated 8 days ago
Peptimes reminds you at each scheduled dose time, tells you if a dose hasn't been logged, and can remind you to do your Daily Check-in. You control all of them in Profile → "Notifications".
The three kinds of reminder
Reminders play a notification sound.
Tap a dose reminder to open "Log a Dose" with that dose filled in. Logging it from the reminder checks it off. Tap the check-in reminder to open the Daily Check-in.
The check-in reminder arrives even if you've already checked in that day.
Change your reminder settings
Open Profile → "Notifications" (or tap the bell at the top of the screen, then the gear):
- "Enable Reminders" turns all Peptimes reminders on or off.
- "Dose reminders" covers dose reminders and "Not logged" alerts. With it on, you can choose:
- "When to remind me": "At dose time" (the standard), 5, 15 or 30 minutes before, or "Custom" (1 minute to 2 hours before).
- "If I haven't logged it": a second reminder after 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours (the standard), "Custom" (15 minutes to 6 hours), or "Off".
- "Daily check-in" turns the check-in reminder on or off.
- "Daily check-in reminder" sets its time.
- "Discreet reminders": dose reminders and "Not logged" alerts say only "You have a reminder", with no peptide or dose.
These settings apply to everyone who uses Peptimes on this iPhone. "Preview" at the bottom shows how your reminders will look.
Which doses get reminders?
Only protocols with a schedule. Manual protocols ("Skip — I'll just log manually") and protocols that need setup don't get reminders.
- "Every X Days" schedules: reminders are set at least two weeks ahead (further for longer gaps between doses). They're refreshed when Peptimes starts, and whenever you log a dose or change a schedule or setting. If you haven't done any of those for a while, close Peptimes completely and open it again.
- If you log a dose early: its reminder may still arrive. You don't need to log it again.
- After a cycle ends: you may still get reminders for that protocol until you remove it in My Protocols.
Lock screen privacy
Dose reminders show the peptide's name and amount, so anyone who sees your locked iPhone can read them. To hide the details, turn on "Discreet reminders" in Peptimes (see above), or:
- Open your iPhone's Settings → "Notifications" → "Peptimes".
- Set "Show Previews" to "When Unlocked" or "Never".
